I got this car as part exchange for a job i done a few weeks ago, It had been stood in the garage for around 10 years and was last taxed 1995.
I work for a family business, it's a garden center / bulding supplier, an ideal place to get to work on my mini although i would prefer a garage to work in :tongue:
My plan for this car is to restore it to its original state, nothing fancy, will be adding chrome bumpers, grille etc... but thats about it, all the rest will just be restored. Then i will eventually sell it.
This car does need a good amount of work, but im willing to do it :tongue: .
The main work is on the passenger side, alot of rust over that side, so parts need replacing.
Ive alredy bought some parts for the car, like:
* Rear valance
* Boot hinge panel
* battery
* full exhaust
* front o/side floor panel
* step side panel
And a few more..
All need replacing
Here are some pics of it now as it stands (Just) :tongue:
I will be asking a few questions about this car as ive never worked on 1 before
Well thats all i can think of for now, any questions just ask.
Thx

Bought an o/side, side step, i cut off the old 1 with the grinder.
stripped the boot, taken out the back lights and petrol tank, and cut out most of the rusted areas in the boot.
Bought a sheet of metal and got the mig welder, now need to cut out the rite size of metal and weld it over the holes where i cut the rust out of.

Those pictures look like they were taken in the 70s. Is that an effect or just an odd camera?
