My ex husband hasn't been working on your car by any chance? That happened to 2 cars of mine he worked on and at least 3 other peoples cars that he did work on!

A similar thing happened to be in the past, the bolt holding my bottom arm in snapped going round a roundabout, and the result was about the same!
Luckily, if it's just a ball joint, it should be a very cheap and easy fix. Doesn't look like the wheel's done any damage to the bodywork thank god!

AA man should be able to fix that there and then on your drive if hes got a balljoint kit on his van. But he wont, because thats too much work.

Im quietly gutted because I spent the last 10 days doing some odd jobs on her so she has been off the road. This was her first outing since we bought her.
Oh well, it never rains etc....

Either way, they're still only about a tenner to fix.

The engineer was quite good, but as they sent a flatbed recovery vehicle instead of a patrol van he had very limited tools and my collection wasnt much use either. Anywho he's got it 'sorta' back on enough to wheel it very slowly down the drive.
So I can now add to my list a new bottom ball joint and hub assembly as the threads are nackered apparently (well more they are missing)
Could anybody direct me to the right thing on eBay?
EDIT: Oh and 4 hours waiting for recovery, the hazards have drained the battery. Typical hehe.
