Not bad. The only problem I can see is having flashy lights from the H/U in your rear view mirror all the time. Not seen this before so it's an interesting concept. You could always hook up a remote in the front if you want to change tracks / volume etc.

Did a bit more on this tonight...
Finished rubbing the rest down and sprayed the primer.
From a-far it doesn't look too bad but up close could do with more rubbing/filling etc. Think I'm going to spray it up and get it in the car ready for IMM then take it out after and re-do for a better finish.

Did a bit more on this this weekend:
Sprayed it black, but as you can imagine I wasn't impressed with the finish lol:
SoI then took to it with the primer and a piece of card:
(You certainly can't tell how bad the finish is hah)
And don't worry, It doesn't take up all the window space:
I've got the speakers and tweeters wired up to the crossovers so just need to get power to the head unit and job done!

you missed out a photo!
you should take one from the drivers seat, like if you were in the drivers seat, and looked over your shoulder.
I quite like the idea, it's something different, and it does look quite cool.
not too sure i could live with it over there, but if you can then great. you've got a cool install going on there.
John.
(edit, forgot to write half of what i meant to x/)

Personally i'd like to smooth it all off with fiberglass, to give a more professional look, but i like the idea and te general design.
As a Leodensian myself, i guess you're not gonna be parking it around harehills or cpt, of even worse, the dreaded Burmantofts (cue dracula music etc.)!

Cant say I like this either, and I promise I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon here because one person has had the balls to critisize. I dont think it suits the classic Mk1 (which is gorgeous by the way) and I dont like the whole concept of it being behind you, infact its the total opposite of a front of house! What have you got up front to compensate for the incorrect imaging?
