Ive just got off the phone from my bank with them telling me ive had my card cloned by some theiving scum at the shell garage on the way into leicester (from stamford direction) they took a £1 test transaction out first and then took £47 out in india and £22 out in america within the space of a few minutes!

Steer clear of this petty station or if you have to use it pay in cash!

Theiving tankers!

Got my card cloned at a petrol station somewhere too. They tried to take £1300 and my bank was just like NOOOOO.

We had a Shell near us with the same thing happening, Shell should be more picky about who they employ

(disclaimer, I am sure as in every garage/petrol station most of the employies who work for Shell are fantastic and very law abiding)

Is that the one near ambassador road? I do my best to avoid filling up anywhere in leicester, far too many garages run by dodgies!

Ive just spoken to shell uk customer services and theyve told they are already aware of a security issue and would now look into it.

That takes the piddle if you ask me, if theyre already aware of it why havent they suspended the tw@t on the spot.

The police didnt seem bothered either!

Non-disclaimer: No they are not! Shell should be picky as my card has been done twice now, there staff suck and can't speak english, be careful of the silent staff that never speak, its because they dont know the lingo.....

Got a call from my bank asking about my recent uses as someone tried and failed.....

Friday (london me), Saturday Indonesia :xmas: Sunday (london me) and they asked me did I use my card in Indonesia saturday????

what the hell! !

Use cash at petrol garages, if you aint got no cash then push your car to the next garage!

I had my credit card cloned at a petrol station once, they took £600-odd for some "charity" and loads of other stuff, luckily got it back though.

And I know (from a very well placed source!) of a scam involving 7 petrol stations near where I live - all to do with card fraud. Some had handheld terminals which they swiped your card in to take off the details..

Others had concealed cameras in the ceiling above the chip & pin machine!!

I pay cash everywhere these days apart from ASDA! I'd much rather go out of my way to take money out of the cash machine than risk having my card cloned and my hard-earned cash taken out of my account and into the pocket of some lowlife scum.

Your not even safe taking cash out an ATM at one point nearly everyone who used a cashpoint in Banbury had their details stolen and bank accounts raided. One of Banburys darker claims to fame, it's not all'Ride a *male chicken* Horse' there let me tell you!!

Edit *male chicken* for heaven sake it is the name of a nursery rhyme millions of parents read to children everyday! Is this political correctness gone mad?

This has now made the evening news, not national news but will be on East Midlands Today (on at 6:30 pm) as it appears the Barstewards have got very greedy and cloned loads of cards.

Lets see what Shell have to say about it?????

PS - I stopped at a Service Station on the M1 the other day and the guy on the till could not speak English, not wanting to sound racist but how the hell can they employ someone who deals with customers all the time and who can't communicate???

PPS - just watching the National News about the MP's Expenses Scam and see that their all looking to pay their ill-gotten gains back, might be enough to clear the national debt???????? (more "Robbing Barstewards") >_<

I had my card "stolen" from an ATM at Tescos... Basically I put my card in, it threw it out so I put it in again... This time the machine just froze... Off I went (stupid of me I know) into Tescos to report it... Come out and its all working (someone else is using the machine...)

Anyhoo, I got home and wasn't too happy so I rang Barclays - they "blocked" the card and I was left feeling at ease. Anyway, the next day I got in touch with them regarding my new card, and they said I had withdrew £300 at one cash point, and another £300 somewhere else... I rang the fraud department and managed to get my money back (a bit longer than that)...

Stay clear of shell!
