seen one in a Lotus Europa goes like intergalactik poo!! he has had problems to start with mainly the exhaust which is very important on the Mazda rotary.

That would be good.
This is just too good an opportunity not to say "Wankel" on the forum isn't it?

Hi there.
Yes it has been done by some clown in the states (seriously - he was wearing a clown suit in the pics with his car in miniworld!).
What sort of power do they push out?
If I remember correctly, the actual engine looked tiny, but he had a huge transmission / prop tunnel running through the car to the rear wheels. Bet that flew!

if i'm correct - it's made of of 3(?) combustion chambers each totalling 1.3 litres...... so it's a bit like have in a 3.9litre engine...

hence the trouser browning performance....

The one you'll likely come across is a 13B - which has 2 rotors and a swept volume of about 1300cc, but the combustion chambers fill twice per revolution giving an effective displacement of 2600cc.

Then there's the tri-rotor 20B if you can find one which gives an effective 3900cc. Naughty.

Go Wikipedia to start.

I've seen them bolted to FWD 'boxes. Gives a pretty smal power unit >_< Well - relatively smal. The acinalliarys of the engine require some good space >_<
But apparently you have to be carefull with the exhaust clearing the diff/drive shafts.

This would be my favourite conversion... Wankel FWD FTW! >_<
