I THINK - I know opinions are not supposed to be expressed here but..... that RC40 has fittings for the latter subframe as fitted to injection cars - your s/f has the original type mounts - you seem to have the fitting kit so just use some exhaust clamps to secure to the mounts you've attached and chop off the "bar" extensions on the RC 40.... (Stress thoughts only....)

yes, plus it looks like it sits far too far to the front end... The rear silencer is supposed to sit in the subframe, just behind the hand brake cables, not underneath them, the rear mount is supposed to sit were it's counter part on the subframe mount is (what on you pictures looks like it is somewere under where the rear suspension cones are).

[edit] I think MiniSpares sell a conversion kit to fit late type hangers to a 'early' type car >_<

You'll see then... Just make sure it clears the handbrake quadrants and sits as close to the boot floor as possible without hitting anything (like handbrake cables/quadrants), there's not much to play, positionig wise >_< http://farm4.static....abf394d35_b.jpg

RC40's tend to finish just under the bumper (they finish shorter IMO than other systems) you will need to use a fitting kit as your subframe is one that has no hangers on the frame. Nearly all systems (except maniflow) come with hangers so they can be fitted to later (hanger) cars or use a fitting kit and bolt it direct (non-hanger), you can buy 'bolt-on' hangers but IMO you are best bolting it straight on.

Edit: Seems you have the fitting kit already so just bolt it on with some 'c' clamps and your sorted >_< (System needs straightening on the back box a little :))

Paul.

Depends what system you get, if you get the millenium (>_<) then its all just bolt on (link pipes are pre-cut) if you buy the standard system then you have to cut to suit yourself.

Neil - one further thought - if you're using an LCB its quite common to have to shorten the link pipe by an inch or two.....

So Ill Just Make Some Brkts Up But Looking At The Photo It Should Sit Up Higher In The Body Recess As Well I Bought It From Ebay Its Supposed To Have Been Fitted And Done 200 Miles I Hope It Can Be Fitted As Wanted To Fit It Before The Initial Engine Start.
The y Piece Is Only Connected To The Down Pipes With Jubilee Clips Is This Normal.

Jubilee clips are not good enough...... >_< also an exhaust system should hang to allow for engine movement, and just because you can't move your engine by hand doesn't mean it won't move when you feed in the power :( as it will move and it could move quite a lot :)
