Sorry I worded that last bit wrong, I meant the tweeter in relation to its midrange driver. I know nothings ever gonna sound studio perfect in a car, I spend quite a bit of time in a studio myself and have never heard a car which could out perform it. Oh cool you've got an Imprint Processor? Where have you mounted it? Only other bit of kit I have at the front of my system is a little Behringer preamp for my aux input as I found out the gain on my zen MP3 was a lot lower than the headunit's CD/tuner channels.
8ft is a bit much really, as long as you have the speakers facing you and you are roughly in the middle of the two you're gonna get a good stereo sound. Which is part of the problem in a car, unless you have a McLaren F1 lol

Yeah, the Imprint is good, just takles a bit of setting up, either connected to a Laptop or manually, which would take forever!
I mounted it behind my centre console to try and hide some of the wiring. >

What amp/speakers are you running?

Either a McLaran or a Hummer !lol , a Hummer, now there's a thought !

, Just think what fun you could have kitting one of those out.
Could put the whole mini in there, and still have space to sit

Ive heard you can fit two
McLaren F1 would be great because of the central seating position, I imagine you could get amazing imaging in one of those
I thought you could get the Imprint to set up itself with a mic to get the best sound from your speakers?
I'm running a kenwood W series headunit (flips down from a blank panel for security, thats why i bought it lol) With a Blaupunkt GTA something or other 2 channel powering my front components which are Infinity 75W RMS ones. In the back I have a rather compromised and definately temporary set up, until I get off my backside and send back the eD 6 inch subs for 2Ohm ones. Standard rover speakers in the back shelf, my mates alpine 6x9's (they're TWO WAY, so they dont try and do it all at once, but they dont half ruin my sound stage with treble) under the back seat, and the only bits that are permanent are the 17cm rainbow coaxials in the rear side panels running off the headunit. Theres also an Alpine monoblock set up under my seat for the pending subwoofers, but thats currently powering thin air lol
