Anyone fitted rear seat belts in their Mini? Ones with tensioners? Or am I at best going to get shoulder ones that you have to kinda tighten yourself?

If your 74 mini is in it's original mk3 shell ( you never realy know ) then you will have to weld the seat belt anchor points in, as they are only fitted as standard to 80's on shells, and even then some of the earlier ones don't have the anchor point on the C panel (shoulder).

Aaah... welding... well, will have to be done... lap belts are pointless really as anyone in the rear will headbut the people in front on impact I'm guessing... off to Bill Richards then!

In my Clubman, I can see that I've got holes where seatbelt bolts can fit through, but they're not threaded and they certainly don't look strong enough at the moment. Would I need to weld reinforcing plates in, or is it acceptable to just use a plate bolted in between the rear of the back seat and the seatbelt nut? Am I making sense? Any other tips in general on how to fit rear seatbelts?
