Stig, Slightly OT, quite bizarrely was just looking at the 36-1 on trigger-wheels, once fitted do you have to space the fan pulley out by the same thickness to keep them in-line? Assuming that's what you've used?

Alan...

hi alan

the bottom pully is the standard one that comes witht the supercharger kits have just had it machined on the rear face to mount 36-1 trigger wheel to it

it runs the fan belt in the normal postion nothing has to be spaced

yep drove it around today :dontgetit: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

few things know know inlet temp is around 95c as dont have the colder fuel air charge had before

and accurding to my boost gauge is running 10psi on the standard pully and the standard bottom pully thats surplied in the kit

not knocking the setup stig, but isn't 95 degree's incredibly high for a charge temp? My dailly runs around 20psi boost, and although it's got an intercooler, charge temps never exceed 35 degrees....

are these high inlet temps not the main reason the vmax (and other similar) kits need to run such low CR's when compared to turbo setups on similar boost? surely with lower inlet temps you could run a higher CR and still not suffer from DET.

yep is high and may not be dead acurate going on what ecu is saying and yes proberly why they run such low compression ratios , dont know what the temp was on carb but was proberly a bit colder due to the lower inlet temp

thats why on mine am doing it blow through with a intercooler

I'd like to see yours one day Stig, as I'm planning on doing exactly the same thing myself starting after Castle combe this year. I've got my charger, I just need to source some MPI pulleys, which is proving hard at the moment!

I was shocked at suggested CR's when I looked into suck through supercharging, over on turbominis people are running up to 10psi with 9:1CR and not suffering from DET, although that's on well intercooled setups running mappable ignition too.

Sorry for Hijacking the thread!

Impressive job converting it to injection yourself :)
