Go as little as you dare, if he's not prepared to suggest a price it's most probably because he hopes you'll offer more. It's hardly salable if it's currently being used as a skip, if he wanted market value he'd have to put some work in. Start lower than what you think it's worth.

yehh thats the thing craig, this is pretty much a full car, so all the special marcos bits i assume are there... even if they need refurbing its better than finding replacements

all the rotton bits are mini stuff im guessing, which are 2 a penny

Any luck with this yet?

I remember four years ago, an elderly lady in Morrisons in Tynemouth telling me about a Marcos in someones garage that hadn't moved in years (I had a Marcos t-shirt on at the time and her husband used to race one), somewhere in Whitley Bay, but I could never find it. Is it the same one?

Yeah, I used to live on Monks Way opposite the Broadway pub and work at the TA centre in Sunderland.

I think the Tynemouth club started meeting there just as I moved so I never got to meet anyone.

I'd move back there in a heartbeat, much nicer than London.

I don't know him, unless he was the guy who stopped for a chat one day when I had mine rolled out of the garage on the drive. He did mention the club, but I was moving to Germany three weeks later so never came over the pub.

Shame about the car, I wonder if it was the same one I'd heard about?
