These bearings look as though they have the 'spacer' built in - so you should just be able to assemble them (lots of Moly grease) and then tighten up the nut - with the thick washer under the nut of course. The inner races should butt together - and that should pre-set the running clearance - so the nut should not be setting the running clearance - merely clamping the inner races in place. Is that not what's happening ?

in theory yes should work fine!,i put hub on stub axel on radius arm making sure it's on properly,then the thrust washer and castle nut but even hand tight the split pin hole is already outbound the nut hence the split pin would do nothing?!?.my dads coming over tomorrow hopefully we'll get it sorted

your right there should be a "thrust washer" under the castle nut,mine even with the correct washer and im still having problems.by what you just wrote wanago if i was you i'd obtain the correct washer for your hub as it is a specific size and thickness,also chamfered to the bearing face
