Quick one if I am fitting a C/F valance can I do away with the closer pieces or do they serve another funtion other than keeping carp out?

im fairly sure (not 100% tho) that you dont need the bits that hang down, but you do need the flat bit which is agaisnt the boot floor as it strengthens the rear subframe mounting points.

Thanks gents just the info I required. Presumably then I could fabricate something as opposed to hacking a reapir panel down for this job

If you could get a template from the origiona pannel, or from a repair panel that would work fine.

As far as i know, if you have a rear beam axel, you dont actually need any part of the rear closing panel section. So it depends on what your doing.

I am retaining the original rear subframe set up as I dont fancy being rear ended (if you pardon the expression :proud: ) having taken all the strength out of the rear of the car. I am just looking to shave a little weight here and there whilst removing as many of the classic rust traps as possible.
