aaagggghh why do i take my mini to bit's ,great vid i personally think that it expresses what mini's are all about with the quality and detail of the cars, nice long drives into the sunset and good driving buddies.
Hi; I was the one who posted it a couple of weeks ago. thanks for the very kind words. My son Rob shares my enthusiasm for Minis (bought my first in mid 1960's) so the video means a lot to me as a father/son cruise. Rob and his friend Jesse put it together (Rob and me driving). Took a day and a half, as many as five cameras using some spotters with radios for traffic and both camera mounts and Jesse riding in the back of a Ford F-150 pickup truck. A lot of film was edited out to keep it short. It was all filmed in the area of northeast Ohio where we live. Jesse hopes to work in film someday- Rob just does it for fun.
The Minis are both mine but shared frequently with Rob. Blue one is 1960 shell, just completed after full year of rotisserie build and is a Cooper replica. The film was a shakedown cruise as the cones had not yet settled, hence sits a bit high. I bought the white one in 2001. It was one of the trio of Italian Job movie show cars that were built by the Davies brothers for the Mini 30 celebration at Silverstone in 1989. < www.theitalianjobminis.com/The-Film-Minis.html >
I love the MK1's, both cars are very strong with 1380's. We do shows and occasional track days. Thanks for sharing your comments. Sorry to have gone on a bit long. Bob, (arwally)

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Ohio has no requirements for covering tires as even street rods with no wings (ie open wheeled cars) may operate on the road. If it created any problems it would probably be up to the officer's discretion. Ohio has no scheduled state vehicle safety inspections (as your MOT) although occasional spot checks do take place for tires, lighting, seat belt usage, etc. Each state varies, as neighboring Pennsylvania has an annual inspection and is more strict in most areas.nice 1

The wider wheels and A032's on both cars are used mainly for the occasional track day as I use A008's on 4.5 Minilife on white car and 5" Minilites and A008's on blue one for longer drives and shows.
