i think the 5.5" will need the wing cutting away as they will touch it.

I've got 5" revolutions that touch the wings, so that should tell you that it should need modyfying.

once you have cut the arch you need to bend a new lip onto the arch

then just pait with a rust stoping primer and a top coat

mark the top of the arch with some tape and make sure you stay under this line and it wont show :smartass:

IIRC with 5.5"s you can sometimes get away without cutting arches. It depends on the offset though I think.

Your best bet is to download plans for the arches you are getting. they are available on the net.
Then you print them off, Stick the bits of a4 together, and cut it out. Then you have a template for the cut you need to make.

Make the cut with a jigsaw. Its REALLY easy.
Then using a piece of wood, somthing like 2x1, and a mallet. Create a new lip, that isnt too hard either.
I think you might have to make a cut every 6" or so to allow the lip to bend outwards.

Once you have done that, Brush and either colour matched car paint, OR you best bet being hammerite.
Paint the bare metal, Fit new arch, put wheel on.

Shouldnt be too hard.
the wings are only made from thin metal, will bend easy.
