Thank you i totally agree.did he do anything to drirectly put you or any one you know in danger
if he did i would slap him! if not its his choice
This has to be about the most selfish comment I have seen on this forum.
Would you also condone drink-driving as long as it isn't in your home town so unlikely to affecy anyone you know?
To drive this car anywhere other than to get other drivers out of immediate danger is nothing short of wreckless.
Sorry, but I read about far too much carnage on the roads.

Would You Drive This?

well the car in question is now know to have bent shell shown by dropped door gaps, broken windscreen ,mishapen boot and bent floor so who ever said it was fine to drive must of been blind or an idiot. oh and by the way my spell has nothing to do with being stupied i am dyslexic but have a iq high enough to join mensa and no a lot about morals and government. but i will admite i don't like the guy and think he's an idiot and most people on here seem to agree.Ok, I don't know where you got this info, but I can assure you that everyone who properly looked at and checked the Mini in question agreed that it as in good enough nick to drive back. It seems pretty excessive to quit the club after this - are you sure you don't have a vendetta against this guy, 1293sleeper? For someone who can barely spell democracy, I don't think you have any idea about the government and morals.

Just because you're selling up/giving up doesn't mean you have to slate other people. The windscreen is not broken, the boot is NOT misshapen. I can report that the person who was unfortunate enough to crash this car is doing the best he can to fix it, and NEVER once put anyone else's life in danger. I didn't realise I'd called you stupid. You must have worked that out by yourself.

its ok im done with this thread make you own minds up from the pic and miniwallaby you have just proven my point about why im leaving Portsmouth and southamptom mini owners club as attitudes like your ruin what should be an amazing club with a majority of great mini owners. not once did i personally insult any one on this thread and if a car couldn't pass a MOT its not safe to use on the road thats the law.
I'm not at the Portsmouth and Southampton Mini owners club. I live in Ireland.

but you can fail the MOT on stupid things like number plate lights not working, that doesn't make it unsafe to drive!

I would be willing to bet there are several minis in daily use by forum members here in very dangerous condition due to rot and worn components, but I dont feel the need to do anything about it.

Do you have any formal qualifications that would demonstrate to us that you have the necessary technical knowledge to pass judgement on the roadworthiness or otherwise of this car?
Looking at the pictures there is no evidence that the accident twisted the bodyshell. It is, after all a 35 year old Mini so the chances of it being straight are pretty slim anyway.
Portsmouth and Southampton Mini Owner Club have had enough of you and your tunnel vision so you brought the topic to this forum and then flame down everyone who disagrees with you. To what end?
I suggest you sell your Mini and get something nice and safe and sensible and never have any fun again. A nice Honda or maybe a Rover should suit you together with a pipe and slippers and packet of Werthers Originals.
