howdy all!my name is mike and 3 days ago i bought myself an '82 mayfair fixeruppa!its on the road(sscchh no tax,6 months mot and i cant drive yet!)but its going into my workshop hopefully2moro.
after looking around the baby i'm not sure if i've bitten off more than i can chew. the engine is sound but the body work is looking a bit tired and i've not yet been underneath to check out the sub frame or chassis.
would it simply be easier to buy a new body, pricey and cheatin,or to do her up over time and repair the 'rough' areas?i know if i did it the long way i would get way more satisfaction and the end result would mean far more to me.
also if any of you lad n lasses could point me in the direction of a NON extorsionate parts dealer(check a few sites and am still picking me jaw up) it would be waz.
supafly!
