Gonna get on the blower to Allspeed tomorrow and ask them for a letter to go to the DVLA, plus I'll have a receipt for the engine rebuild, so should all be OK I hope.

easy answer to the engine number fiasco is not to bother... i wont be for a while and never did in the mini.

Fiasco, what fiasco 
phoned DVLA, told them the exact scenario, they just need a reciept from my engine man to say what the engine number is, what the new capacity is and I send a copy of that to them with my log book. She told me to wait until I get back from Germini though. It's not illegal to do that, she said it's OK as long as I notify them soon!
Sorted!

i dont know anyone going part from b-shaw and my mates but cant wait to meet everyone. spent loads the last few months just buying things so it wont breakdown hopefully, still could do with a new starter motor cus that isnt lookign too good and map of satnav.
all ready tho atm if i dont have any other problems lol

Well its not long now people and we shall be going, well I hope I am going im currently strippin my car back down to send it into the bodyshop for some repairs and some welding aswell as my engine not being fully built yet 
God help me to get it finished in time lol I can see many a late nights leading upto when we go
