This is how desperate I have been to make this work!
I could not get Linux Suse to make it work even going through a partition to XP and access it there, bummer...
In the end, in the rain and wind I found a rusty Win 98 PC in the garage and fired it up, in spite of the hard drive being corrupted and very noisy but with the use of a network card I have now been able to access the CD rom and print off what I want through a shared Printer, few what a F'ing palarva!

They really should Withdraw them until they are compatible with all Windows Versions rarther than selling something which is useless as the vast majority of us now run Vista.
You do realise Windows XP still has an incredibly high market share of Operating Systems. Giving it an educated guess I'd put it at around 70%. Vista has around a 20% share, with Mac OSX/Linux/Windows 7/others making up the remaining ~10%

Vista is really RAM hungry and in my opinion is completley unsuitable for cheapo machines that PC World chuck out - I wish I wish I never upgraded to Vista - Xp is the most stable OS I have ever used.
I will now print the whole CD off and rescan it as PDF - it might be possible to recreate the CD Rom using the unincripted PDF's, for home personal use of course...
