Hi all, as you may know I run Smart Performance in Tamworth, Staffs. A mini engine builder if you didn't know.

I know its summer hols now for most poeple so was just offering for someone, or a couple of people to come and do some work experience at our unit.

Will pay travel expenses and do the odd job on your mini if you need it

We do all machining in house so you can learn a fair bit.

Just wondering, let me know if anyone interested

I left school 2yrs ago, and i was trying to get an apprentice in plumbing. Itts taken me 16months to get a job! I know plumbing isn't Engineering, but employers like you MAKE honest teenages careers!

This topic made me smile, It's nice to see honest genuine people willing to give us younger folk a chance to learn some skills.

I'm an apprentice machinist myself and believe me opportunities like this don't come thick and fast, especialy at the moment.

Ive gotta tidy up a bit in the morning the place is a mess! Only moved into this bigger unit bout 2 months ago and still building benches, shelves etc. move the race car over etc etc lol so if you want to turn up bout 10.30 that should give me time to get ma poo in a pile.

Postcode for my place is B79 0JU .. if you get lost just call me. When you near ur looking for a double black gate, down a long drive, take the units on the left, mine will have a ford capri parked outside

Just to let you both know I think im planning to give you both an old engine to strip, clean uo and rebuild. Kinda your own project engine.

They will be fast road so you going to have to port head, do some maching etc
