I always see people parking and what not with power steering, turning the wheels while not moving the car. That was one of the first things I was told not to do when driving as it wears bits prematurely. Makes me feel a bit smug, pfft they don't even know how to manouver thier car.

id say do it, but to check all the things previously mentioned. im 17 and my mini is my first car, and i can honestly say that it gets more attention around school than every other car there!!! (not that im bragging!) but i bought it with my heart not my head, as it looked so good from the outside i barely checked anything else, one of the stupedest things ive ever done. got home found holes in the floor, sills, rear bins and behind the dashboard... after handing over £1400... but we have a full workshop at our farm because my dad collects and restores ww2 military vehicles, and also knows minis inside out, as he grassed them for 20 years, and i ended up fixin her to a perfecy solid and great lookin state without buyin any new body panels! (dads also a good panel beater) so it werent too bad for me, as the mini is now worth around £2000. but if you dont have the workshop and experienced dad then please check the bodywork, so you can avoid the fate i nearly sealed for myself.
