sorry mini 84 but the engines were'nt the same as a MG metro engine they dont have the MG cam only a 1275 metro cam and only make around 70 hp with a stage 1 kit

ahh right, there you go. The RSP's had the MG Metro engine though didn't they? Just not the production Cooper's?

Although you could get say a fibreglass mini, build it with lighweight components, even an engine lighter than your average A series (maybe a bike engine) in it, but if the driver is, how do I say this?!, weighed in tonnes rather than stones, it isn't really going to matter how light or heavy your car is! :tongue:

no the RSP has the same engine as the cooper but with a oil cooler

they do have the same carb and inlet manifold as the MG metro but not the hotter cam

they both make 62 hp as standard and around 70 hp with a stage 1 kit

Not 100% certain about how much my Mini weighs, just that it will be 135KG heavier when I sit in it!

I'm almost under the 100 kgs mark now......... Am into the 15st bracket for the first time in a long while!!! :fear: 15st 13!!!

I wonder if I'll have to set the drivers side shock different to compensate :cheese: :tongue:

my sister has a RSP and i have a 1990 cooper carb so its easy for me to see the differences between then
