Hi, can anyone confirm whether wheel spacers were fitted as standard on MPi Sportspack minis and if so were they on the front or back? Ta.

Ey Up, Iv got a 99 sportspack and i think iv only got them on the rear,
not sure what sizes ect they are but i bought the car second hand and om pretty sure they were standard. I still dont think the wheels fill the arches enough tho.
Hope that helps

I have the same thought to need a good inch more to fill is there a way of doing this without spacers?

Im not sure but if there was id like to know if it wasnt too much hassle, and i dont want to upset the cars handling and its truly awesome. I was contemplating wider wheels but i really like the sportspacks. I think putting even more spacers on would put too much strain on the wheel bearings aswel.

The spacer should be part of the drum, i.e. cast as one piece !!

Clicky Here.

The drums do have an inbuilt spacer but I believe the sportspack cars also had an external spacer of about 5mm as well. I just wanted to check as mine has only one which meant I have either lost or gained one in a garage at some point >_< I think it is the former.

Well, well, well, it appears there was a spacer fitted to the rear drums on MPi's, even though they had a "Spacered" Drum like the old Cooper S and 1275 GT's !!!

Just checked my manual and found this >>>>>

That spacer was previuosly fitted by rover on cars with 165s tyres, sportpack isnt the only model to leave the factory with extra spacers at rear.
