i have a 998 an was thinking of the 940 head and adding a piper 255
the head has never been skimmed
does anyone have an idea how far the valves would need recessed? and would it turn out costly getting this down for the sake of a cam

I have no idea what lift the Piper cam has - if it's standard lift then 40 thou sinking will be fine. If it has more lift - then I suggest you may need pockets in the block, because sinking by more than 40 thou doesn't seem sensible. Can you measure the cam and come back with the lift ?

havnt bought the cam yet, was looking around to see what type of choice i have
do you know of any cams that will fit with the 40thou recessed valves?
would a set of 1275 rockers make a difference instead of fitting a cam?
