believe it or not.....this is still on-going..... 
not through lack of effort when time and funds permitted from everyone working at camp StickyFingers , its been a long while since major progress was made, a major situation meant massive expense was required at a stage when we thought we were on the home stretch.....
but......
today it was started and run and Im chuffed to say purred like a happy puddy-cat..... first go.... and its not even had the timing done properly yet !!!!
major update with photos and more info will follow in the next week.... and details of a magazine feature in the offing

just about....shes more than understanding, and to be honest been brilliant through the whole exercise, but I promised her a finished mini, and we're damned close....I actually drove it round the carpark today

here we go.....first proper drive off the 2 post ramp....its a bit 'on stilts' as its all new suspension and no-hi-lo's as yet..... and timing is yet to be tweaked as we had the dizzy out to clean up the block.

couldnt resist a quick whizz around the yard 
runs quite nice, brakes could do with tightening up a bit, but its ready to go back to the paint shop

Dots mini has in recent weeks been used as a 'tuning mule' for 2 features in Mini Magazine.....
in this months issue it can be seen in the stage 1 tuning kit feature, where the old girl got a decent 50% hike in power to a reasonable 36whp.
in stage 2 its had a Keith Calver stage 3 head, Tuned CSI dizzy, new carb and a better exhaust and is now a respectable 52 wheel horse power.... I think its going to be fun :)
