It may still be in Plymouth, possibly in a lock up somewhere, according to the ad.

Does sound very dodgy. has the owner got a progress blog on any of the forums showing it getting rebuilt? as this might be how they have disabled his alarm (if he had pics etc if him fitting it etc).

Really sorry to hear about it, i would be furious.

It may also be worth him taking the ebay ad off ebay as this could cause even more problems if the car sells.

It's been recovered apparently:

It was put on ebay a few days ago by the owner but was was stolen today.

BUT

IT HAS BEEN RECOVERED

facebook has it's uses! we put out a massive campaign to find the car or any parts of the car, and also got this posted to as many forums as possible and we struck lucky...

I'm reluctant to go into much detail regarding this, since it is a current criminal investigation, but suffice to say the car is MOSTLY intact, and now in securely stored in a lock-up.

Well!! After lots of posting on Forums and on Facebook by lots of people AMAZINGLY we found the Mini!!! :proud:

After it had been stolen it had been moved to another area of the city in a small cul-de-sac, parked up and covered over! Randomly a guy we know who is a delivery driver happened to be in this street today and spotted "a Mini under a cover" but didnt think anything of it until he saw everyone looking for one on the net!

He contacted a friend of mine who passed the details to me and I passed them to the owner and we all went to check it out!
Much to his relief it was his beloved car under the cover but he waited for the Police to turn up before uncovering it!

They had removed the rear window completely to gain entry but didnt smash it and left it behind, They had hotwired the car damaging the ignition and stolen the CD player from the dash! Other than this the car is fine and has now been recovered to a safe location!

It also looks like it was nothing really to do with the ebay ad or at very least someone wanted to steal it before it was sold!!

The power of the internet is amazing!!

Heres some pics from tonight...................
