Hey guys and gals.
Does anyone have any idea how easy it may (or may not) be to change my Minis engine for an MPI lump. Currently I have a 998 (1981 Round nose) I have been thinking about it but I have not seen many minis around that have had this conversion. Does this mean it is a total pain and its not even worth contemplating it?
Thanks,
James

not worth it in my opinion. have an mpi, in standard tune they are nothing special. they can only be mildly tuned.

conversion would require a full mpi engine, mpi wiring loom, mpi fuel system including petrol tank.

they can be troublesome running in minis made with the mpi, dodgy sensors etc

if i could change away from mpi in my mpi cooper i would, but its a fairly complex change and i would not pass emissions with carbs
