I have a Yr. 2000 Cooper Sport with Sportspack arches. I've had the car since new and its all original.

Just noticed that one of the rear arches has become a bit loose towards the bottom where it meets the bumber/rear valence.

Had a poke around and can't feel or see how they're fixed.

Does anyone know how they go on ? Is it an easy job or will I need the ladybird book of swearwords !!

Cheers all...

sportspack arches are fixed by nuts on the inside of the car. The nearside rear wheel arch will need the fuel tank removing, but both rear wheel arches will also require the rear quarter cards removing, which I believe requires the rear bin pockets removing to do so.

Dont be surprised when you start to undo the nuts that the studs also start to turn, they then tend to unscrew from the arch. If you are careful enough you can get the nuts off and then screw the studs back into the arch.

Thanks Sprocket.

It's loose on the drivers side so don't need to worry about the fuel tank on this occasion.

I'll have a rummage round !!

Cheers
