Hi this is my first post on here so first of all hello to everyone! I thought I'd put up what has happened today just in case it can help anyone else in the future,
My girlfriends SPI went in for it's MOT today but failed on exhaust engine idle speed too high, and emissions.
After reading a few topics on here I took the airbox off and found the vacum hose from airbox to the back of the manifold was just flapping in the wind...... Got a new rubber connector and straight away the car ticked over happier than it has in ages, So going to get some injector cleaner and get it nice n hot before the retest Thursday and prey that pasts! I'll update here as to what happens ....... :)

another thing you may want to try is get some carb / throttle body cleaner and clean out the throttle and the ISCV idle speed control valve unless it has another name on the mini lol
