I was thinking today.........honest!!

The new for sale system actually helped Navyseal sell his items to multiple people, at the moment its an add on to the forum and not intergrated into the main area.

If he'd been selling using the old system, people would have seen who he was trying to sell to and those people who had already bought and paid for the item would have seen him try and sell the item time and time again.

It allowed him to go about the buisness of scamming and robbing members undetected, no one could see what was happening and thus put an end to it.

Surely this issue needs addressing before it happens again?

You can enable comments on the listing,.. there is an option at the bottom of the page to tick a box before you post the Ad.

Perhaps get rid of this option but lock it on so that people can comment on listings.

yeh that sounds like a pretty good compromise to stop anything like this happening again.

I don't think everyone scrolls down to the comments as you do scroll down a bit after "user options" to get to them.

Exactly. The system does not get as many views as it would with the old system, and people wouldnt necessarily comment.

The old system worked so much better as it wasmuch easier for the buyer and seller to discuss prices and parts and for sellers who are selling a lot of items, where they can update easily, adding and removing items. Buyers can see what is there easily when pictures are linked from photobucket for each individual item with a description and comments where as with the new sellers list each item individually making it tedious.

Also with the old one, people used to be much more active, scanning it every so often so this meant topics with hot items were active and kept at the top with all the new postings where as with the new not as many as before browse and comment.

Think about it, it wouldn't have stopped a thing.

At the mo when you make a comment on a for sale thread, it stays there, it doesn't get bumped to the top of the list.

Unless you actually look at the ad you don't know its there.

Theres nothing to flag up that the ad has been commented up or updated.

The old system would have shown this con/scam up in an instant.

No one shut up till the old for sale section is reopen, as said this needs sorting and good points shifty.

Also i think we need a feedback system for anyone selling on the forum, maybe on our profiles so people can leave good and bad feedback before they think about buying of us.
