Why not just order a new seal? chuck some sealant/hylomar around it untill you get a new one.

These sensor seals are renowned for leaking, the design is rather poor. One solution I have found to improve the situation is to make several cardboard washers from a ceral packet to sit between the sensor and the purlple clip which holds it in place to make the seal slightly tighter. A more expensive alternative is to get a new 2 core rad from minispares with the screw in type sensor.
