Hey,

On saturday night, i was driving home and went over a pothole (it was on a corner and couldnt avoid it). The engine cut out straight away and wouldn't start again. After getting it towed home, the battery was flat from trying to start it and having hazards on. I recharged the battery yesterday and plugged it in this morning. I tried to start her up again but it still wasn't working. Can anyone tell me the problem? Is it the starter motor? A loose cable? The alternator?

Thanks
Sam

Isn't there a fuel pump cut-off switch on injection models? Going over the bump would have tripped the switch meaning the pump is no longer pumping fuel. All you would need to do is switch it back on.

There is indeed, it's mounted to the bulkhead on the nearside of the engine bay. It's a little black box with the reset switch on the top, just push to reset it - sounds like this is your problem. :o

Lol, who's not done that on a 'smooth and well kept' British Highway.
