the carb will also need to be modified wouldn't it?

Because it no longer works on negative air pressure to fuel, would it not require a modification to allow the fuel to 'get past' the positive pressure due to the 'charger?

(if i'm talking b******s then thats cool! I was just chatting to Dad about it, as I was thinking of having a 'switchable' charger, using an electromagnetic clutch on the pulley to disengage the charger, and he said the carb would only work either on one or the other, not both. I also hadn't factored in that with the charger off the compression would be about 8:1, so therefore almost no power, so hey-ho! :grin: )

When you use the eaton blower, the carb still gets sucked through. This means you can use a standard su etc. Im going to try and use a webber on mine.

yeah i thought that was the case oldskoolbaby, i spoke to the guy at scart..briefly... and he said a standard HIF44 could be used

Well its got to be done ent it? :grin: It may be overkill but if I ever get in a situation with something a bit naughty, I should be at least able to keep up around town and off the lights.
