Mini 1275 mpi 2000

Heater only cold, i have checked the heater valve on the side of the heater box which seems to be opening & closing ok & noticed that the hose to the valve is not hot, The car seems to be running at the normal temp & cooling fan coming on & off as normal !

Any suggestions what to look at ?

Cheers

Nige

Yeah would second that. Flush should hopefully sort it out.

The only time i experienced the cold heater effect, was when my water pump stopped spinning. Make sure you actually take it off and have a good look, i simply just looked at it when the engine was running. It appeared the pulley was spinning, so i figured all was fine, but when i removed it and had a proper look the pulley turned but the impeller didn't. New water pump fitted and a few flushes later and the heat returned :dontgetit:
