Jack 1971 850cc - named so because his numberplate looks like jack 779k

Leyla 1977 1000 - named because she is a Leyland!

Lexie 1986 piccadilly named because it's a good name!

Ruby 1999 MPI named because she is ruby red

Charley 2001 Cooper named because the last owner said we couldn't change it (you're not allowed to change the names of your babies apparantly!

This is my 1987 City E, which i secretly call Elvira :shifty: . I was looking for a dark, mysterious kind of name that provokes nightime-like imagery, because a) my Mini is painted Nightwatch Blue 2, and b) I have yet to encounter another City E "Special", and c) another Mini in this colour. I'm told by the car's first owner that the colour and badging are all original, and i've yet to discover why this car has been badged so. Oh, and i'm a sucker for exotic names :(

I'm going to get a few night time shots soon ;)

My Turn,

My Mini is called "Roxanne"or Roxy for short... Named by some girls I met during Freshers week at University, back in 1988!

She was a few weeks old then, no I'm not rich enough to afford a brand new car at 19, I had just finished building her from a new body and a donor car I had written off... Fell asleep when driving home from girlfriends house and ran into a Sierra!

Roxy is therefore a bit of a hybrid as I have, over the years, picked and chosen the parts on her...

Currently off the road, 11 years into a 6 month re-build... Just need to finish the Engine now!

"Little Bill", (Mayfair SPI) as i bought it from a very good friend named................Willy. :)

He refused to sell it to anyone else, even though he was offered twice the amount i could give him. But in his own words, "I know you'll treat it well."

I've promised Willy the first thing we'll do when Little Bill's up and running is drive to Holland and blow all our cash on hookers and drugs................................I intend to keep that promise. :)
