Hi guys i stumbled across this site while searching for a mini forum on google, nice little helpful community judging by the threads :cheese:

I've posted some pix of my first mini on the 2006 calender thread, i had a funny moment and regrettably sold it. Don't take the p*ss but i bought a 99treg mx5 after and now i own an xreg 1.8t passat, both of these cars are dreadfully boring so am looking to buy another mini.

ps no matter how good people tell you the mx5 handles....... its a load of old tosh, its like a boat compared to my old mini cooper which had hi los and kyb shocks, not to mention solid subframe mounts etc

keep up the good work guys these minis are a powerful icon and should not be sold! Cant wait to get another

thanx pal not quite ready to buy yet, reckon i might get another spi cooper as i've worked extensively on my old one, not sure wether to wait til spring for warmer weather as i recall working in the snow and rain replacing ball joints and wheel bearings, its not pleasant when you slip with a spanner in the freezing cold :nugget:

decided to wait til spring as it'll be my only car and a daily runner. dont mind grafting in the sunshine :) and i can save some more money. should get about £5000 for my current car so i'm undecided wether to by a car thats recently been restored (with new shell etc) or to by a cheaper one and gradually improve it. bearing in mind it needs to be reliable.

umming and erring

also, wether to get a restored classic cooper 1960's? or a late injection and make the cosmetic changes to look simular to a mk1 or 2

decisions decisions ;)
