We have made a little security pin that could be slid into a hole in the slider to stop it from moving back before. I'll have a chat to my Dad about making them again if you wanted them.
Cheers

Regarding the rear windows, Do they fog up just the same as glass or are they more resistant to this?
And with tinting, can the film be applied while the window is still flat then be curved and fitted into the seal without causeing any problems? or does that just depend on the film?

Thanks

Chris

Hi

The windows in my brother's Mini he used to have didn't have any issues with fogging, but we haven't ever really investigated this. From experience, we didn't really have any troubles and the car was left outside.

With regards to tinting, we aren't experts so I'd imagine it'd depend on the film you are using and how much elastication it has. To be safe, I'd recommend tinting them once in the car.

Cheers

Hi there i'm building a shorty with cut down front windscreen, the window would be 4" tall and will not have any wipers, so basically it will be a wind deflector would it be possible to knock up a wind deflector out of polycarbonate

Thanks Colin

Hi

To fix them in position we recommend you use 2 or 3 self tapping screws in the bottom of the window and the bottom of the window aperture (where the weatherstrip clips to). So put the window in place, drill a clearance hole in the door and a pilot hole in the window, so the window will be held tight by the screws. Then you can put the weatherstrip back on to hide the screws. This means you can get rid of the chunky window winder.

Door windows are RRP £79.99 including sliders both sides, so with the TMF Discount £67.99 inc sliders + £15 P&P

And yes we would be able to do you a wind deflector. You could either send us an exact template of what you wanted, or we could send you an oversized piece of polycarbonate that you could cut yourself to the correct size.

Cheers

hi there been watching the sale of these on ebay for ages, never really hard the cash, but with the discount in place it is obviously a chance i dont want to miss out on, just one question, they will be fitting on my car that'll be used regularly and with the crappy british weather and all the rain are the front sliders anygood at preventing leaks
thanks
jack
p.s what sealant would you reccommend using with the fixed (riveted) rear sides
thanks
