Its not "GT5" as such, its just Gran turismo Portable. But it will work in correlation with Gran Turismo 5 on the ps3, so transporting cars over etc. Get it mate, Well worth the buy. Ive not put it down all weekend

Apparently GT5 will have 1275 Works cars too

a) This car list is the usual pre-GT car list. It contains a whole load of cars which may or may not be available in the different versions of GT5. Traditionally the car lists in the European, Japanese and American versions have been slightly different. This is an amalgamation of all three, so some of these cars may not be available on the version that is eventually released here, regardless of what Sony/Polyphony say. The other thing with this list is that the size of it suggests that a lot of cars have been put in as special prizes for obscure ps3 trophies which means that you may not actually ever get to own them in the final game. This generally happens with the slower, less tunable more culty cars (anyone recall the 1937 Auto Union, Citroen 2CV and the 1915 Ford Model T tourer from GT4) which could include certain strains of mini, they are generally prizes because they are not realistically racable against any of the other cars of similar class in the game. Also, last minute rights issues mean that some may be removed from the final version.
b) I wouldn't hold my breath for a pre-Christmas release either. This is THE game I am waiting for and have been waiting for since I preordered my PS3 a couple years ago. This game has been subject to more issues and setbacks than any other. All over the net are people estimated that it will be out late 2009 because the lead programmer suggested in an interview last year that it would be ready then. However, official spiel suggests that the release date for Japan is March 2010 and they will get their version before ours probably. It could still be a year off yet.
As I said I don't want to rain on anyones parade but this has generally been the state of play since the second GT game so I wouldn't get massively excited just yet.

All sounds true. Lets be realistic, a 2009 release is Highly unlikely, im thinking more march 2010 myself.
