F' me!!


They have been busy with that... Well I was going to get it anyway but i've decided Im going to try and get it imported now because I'm an impatient little sod and thats just too much good stuff in 1 game and i've just had a thought; how good will driving the minis round the top gear test track be??

I'm not getting the PSP version because frankly it's a bit rubbish, I'd been waiting just about a year for that and they bring out some shoddy watered down version. Maybe thats a bit harsh but im saving my 20 quid either way!

If you do find it, then can you let the rest of us know and also probably a good idea to let Polyphony know because as far as they're concerned it won't be finished and therefore released anywhere for at least a couple of months.

edited to say: This does, however, raise an interesting point because the gaming system on PS3s is alledgedly multi region and as such, you could, in theory import it when it comes out and still use it on a standard PAL system. This was an idea put about by Sony at PS3 release but I don't really know what happened with it. The use of HD obviously reduces the flicker problems normally associated with using NTSC settings on PAL TVs. Obviously, I'm not for one minute suggesting that importing games is morally or legally right.

Obviously, I'm not for one minute suggesting that importing games is morally or legally right.

Why isnt it?

I think he was referring to the point raised earlier that it may be released in Japan earlier than Europe.

He did say he would import it now which I was pointing out is not possible and hence he shouldn't waste time looking for it cause he won't find it. I'm naturally sarcastic for which I apologise.

Plus, because I'm a bit sad and geeky and have naff all else to do, I've looked into it a bit and found that all Sony produced games are to be region free which means GT5 will probably be released at the same time in all regions otherwise it'd be pointless cause everyone would just import it. I never knew this when I said that there was a difference in release dates, there usually is but probably not here.

Yeah sorry that was a bit misleading, I did mean importing it from Japan or somewhere when it was released not before!! Did manage to get a copy of Sims 3 about a week before it was released but I dont think I'd be able to do anything similar with GT5.

Mr Gran Turismo says the March '10 release date is only confirmed for Japan and they've yet to come up with one for here so my bet is that we're going to get it about 6 months later and be stuck playing it in Japanese despite the region thing...

GT5 would be the soul reason for wanting a PS3... I really wish I had a PS3 to play it!!

To be honest ive never been a fan of the Gran Turismo series....i personally prefer the forza series. I own a PS3 and will undoutanly be buying GT5 but i was dissapointed by the gameplay in the prologue version and think Forza 3 will be the better game. However the mention of minis and the top gear track do sound quite appealing.

Now this might get me playing my PS3 again. The last game I bought for mine was GTA
