A very early start (up at 5.15 - yawn) and a great day, but I'm sorry for the rain - it followed me all the way from not so sunny Scunny to Huntingdon this morning and was waiting for me on the way home grrrhhh, but at least the sun shone and we got a chance to soak up some rays at Hunstanton :ermm:

It's always nice to meet up with fellow Mini nutters and have a natter and a laugh - I didn't win any raffle prizes though, unlike someone I could mention who won 4 - yes 4 - you know who you are :dontgetit:

I'll put some pictures on when I've uploaded them >_<

But here's one to be going on with - sorry it's over exposed, but it was sooooo sunny :shifty:

We were there - Car shown by Arrow.
shame about rain seeing as I spent 6 HOURS on Saturday polishing her :)

Think I was in front of you Rachel at the Raffle and won a years subscription to Mini Magazine :)

Well done, but you didn't share your lucky streak though did you :P

By the time I'd left Scunthorpe I was wondering why I'd bothered polishing Ellie, but I wasn't going to polish here when I got there - too much to see and peeps to talk to :)

Did you by chance get a Normanby Hall flyer on your Min? :dozing: :)

Rach :(

Glad you had a good time Rach (I had an earlier start than you though I woke at 4:30am :teehee: ). Yeah it was a shame about the rain, started as soon as we started the run but it did clear up just a few minutes after the cars parked up in Hunstanton :D . It wasn't me that won 4 raffle prizes, I didn't get any, infact I didn't have any tickets (Michael borrowed some of his mum's just before the draw as we were sooo busy all day we had forgotten to buy any :) ).

I had a lovely drive home at the end of the day, the sun was shining and I got to drive without a brolly over my head (unlike the morning) ;D

Thanks to everyone who came along, we made a grand total of .........

£1,182.11 for Sue Ryder Care at Thorpe Hall :)

This was my first H2H and have got to say it was bl**dy brilliant!!

The route was great although if it could have avoided the few A roads it would have prevented the convoy getting split up so much. Speaking of which, where on earth did all them Mini's come from at the crossroads outside Sandringham?? :o I was just telling the missus we'd lost them all when we all converged >_< And then again in the last village before Hunstanton, It was hilarious wth Mini's zooming in all directions because everyone missed a left turn and was turning round and missing it again  All pretty cool though as everyone merged at the car park

Thanks to all those who organised it! Will definately be back next year!

Should just add though that that carpark at hunstanton could easily take twice as many Mini's :( SO WHY NOT LET IT???!! :(

I was one of the mini's that had to turn around as we Stoopidly were just playing follow the leader :o

Oh - and wish I hadn't had the extra coffee at McDonaldso before hitting all them bumpy roads......
But like you said was a fun day and "minis in my mirror, in front to the left to the right - here I am stuck in the mini with you..... "

I'm afraid we cant avoid the 3 times we cross A Roads on the route, theres is just no way around them, they are there in the way and we have to cross them or we would never make it to Hunstanton (about 99% of the run is not on A roads though so its not that bad). We cant have any more Minis on the run either as our Insurance and man power to marshall it would just not cover it I'm afraid, although we may try 150 next year but that will be our absolute limit :(

Glad you enjoyed it >_<

Bet you weren't as bad off as my missus! She's 5 months preggas and didn't bother gracing macdonalds facilities with her presence before we left. A worse case of 'Mini bladder' I've yet to see. But I'd be lieing if I said it wasn't funny :(
