Had a couple of unusual phone calls this morning from Mini forum people suggesting that we were a fake company and a fake web site (Chinese or Russian one suggested). Not sure what to say about this really except that we have been in business for a number of years although we don’t specialize in Mini (shame on us) so maybe you never seen us before. Also that our parts namely our compression testers and oil filters must be fake or false in some way as they are too cheap to be real. Well they are good value filters at £1.73 but they are also good quality Motorcraft (OE for Fords) and £3.45 for testers (good quality US firm Equus) and not fake in any way.
Anyone who thinks the web site is too “Chinese” to buy online is welcome to phone their order through or visit the London shop

PS everything else we sell is also real (and good value)

Thanks for this.

The main issue was the fact that when i went to purchase some stuff from your site, when i clicked checkout, another members details were already entered on my screen. Also other members which were on the site realised that other peoples baskets were being updated on their screen.

That was why a couple of people originally thought your site was abit dodgy; mainly for security reasons.

Yes that seems very bizarre. I got the email about it. Our site is hosted by actinic.co.uk who are a well respected UK firm. I spoke to them and they are adamant that couldnt happen. So I am at a loss to explain it. Unless the site was looked at by the user months or even years ago in which case it will remember user details.

Please note that if you want to advertise products, prices, special offers etc on this forum. you need to register your company details with myself.

If not, then please refrain from all of the above.

Thanks
Jordie

Just to clear this up for the few members who are not aware...
RatSport.co.uk have now provided the Staff with their registration details for their company to comply with our new traders rules. It seems that there has been an issue with their website that made people think they were fraudulent but this does not give members the right to call them and accuse them of being dishonest.

On behalf of the staff I'd like to apologise on behalf of the forum for the phone calls you received and I would also like to remind all members that we do not condone this type of behaviour and that they do not speak on behalf of the forum but only on thier own behalf.

Regards
Jonesy
