1/2 unf on the track rod

3/8 unf on the joint taper pin - could also be M10

Tie rod is 7/16 unf by the way

Yay! for the Moss catalogue

Thanks! I was refering to the nut which screws onto the balljoint at the end of the track rod, which goes through the spindle.

Am I right in saying the wheel studs are 3/8? The thread on them seems finer than on the track rod end. M10 doesn't fit, the thread is slightly out. So next stop, 7/16.

7/16 slips right over the threads too

So far, 7/16 is too big, 3/8 has a finer thread, and m10 doesn't fit either. Any suggestions what to try next?

Aha! Well now we know which thread you're after....

No. Sorry. It should be 3/8" UNF or M10.

Should be 3/8"unf as said above. If its any other thread then its an inferior pattern part and Id suggest getting a pair of new genuine ones.

Time to dig this thread up again!

I bought a new track rod end. Am I right in saying it should be pressed (with force) into the spindle? As currently, it just sort of sits on top of the hole, not leaving much thread. It seems like an obvious question, I know.
