Its a long way for a mini to go at speed as its all motorway stuff and having audi S4's in your convoy doesn't help ;) did see alot of classics broke down by the roadside but I have to agree with BenH that people just love the mini out there, dont see alot of minis in france?

And when your getting thumbs up from everything going past from a fiat to a koenigsegg you know your doing something right

I'l be doing this for sure next year when i can drive. Been watching Lemans with my dad along with all other motorsports since i was a little kid, and ive told him that when i'm driving hes coming with me! So i'l camp with you guys next years, no doubt Kam will be there.

thatd be wicked, i wouldnt feel so bad if there were more minis, at least if someone has a problem you wouldnt be on your own. i think one of our lads is taking a van full of spares and i think im gonna take my passenger seat out to fit all my luggage in!

Yup, its the way to do it mate. Its good in groups if you all bring certain spares, that way you just cover for eachother, if somebody knackers a gearbox linkage, somebody has one, you give it to them for free, when you brake down, if they have the parts you need they give you them. Best way i think, better than getting stuck out in france anyways ;)

Must be awsome Kam!

your right Kam, Even the police seem to want you to go fast! I saw a few minis last year but didnt see any groups or convoys. A convoy would be really cool to see, last time a gt40 pulled up along side us and it just sounded like it was on tickover compared to us revving our t!its off

I'm in for next year for sure !, it'll be too much of a rush to get the mini done by June, plus I dont have anymore time off placement after this week until July when I finish....apart from my snowboarding trip in march !

I'm still going!
Although I'm not taking the mini....going down in someone's Focus ST (good job fuel is a bit cheaper on the continent!) and a Volvo 470. We were going to take a Triumph Stag too but someone dropped out so there's no need to take three cars. It's my first time going, and we're staying in Houx. I finish Uni for good on the same day I'm travelling to the track, so I expect mucho bevs will flow during the weekend!

Might be able to get a place in a mates car for the main event but definitely want to go to the classic in july in the mini. Anyone else up for convoying to that?

Well obviously no-one had their fingers crossed for me....!

Flew through MOT with no advisories! Hurrah.....

NO.

Clutch began slipping on way home from MOT Centre.

Lets just hope Slark can fix that too. To make it worse all the Le Mans stickers arrived today. ;)
