Another option... Have you thought about spraying your existing doorcards? I did mine this weekend with vinyl spray and they came out well :D

That had never crossed my mind...it sounds a good, easy way to get the desired effect. Would you be able to post some pics of your work? Thanks.

Sorry chap, I can't get my phone to transfer it across :(

This is what i used though: http://www.amazon.co...k/dp/B001W03PQS

The outcome will only be as good as your doorcards are really, mine were reasonable but i just wanted to change the colour. One can will get you pretty far... I'd go with two though if you're doing 2-3 coats. Mine are a little patchy right now, but after another coat they should come up even better!

What kind of foam should I use to pad the door cards? Would it be something like THIS

I know this thread is a little old but i thought i'd just post an update about my door cards if any one was interested in doing their own.

I used 3 mm Hard board from B&Q (only £2.8 per sheet)

I used an old door card as a template and made up the two boards.
Drilled and cut all the holes needed.
Spray contact adhesive on the door card then layed some padding on and cut to shape. Sort of like duvet material only really thin & light(70g/m).
Spray glued both padding and vinyl and stuck them together
Cut excess vinyl off and made all the cuts to fold it over.
Spray glued where the fold go and stuck it all down then staple gunned it in place. (ran out of staples too)
Finally I attached the speaker pod. This is what it looks like now. It will have ali handles etc so should all tie in together.

They look really good :D Thought I'd show a picture of my ones as well, I used the original door card put some wadding onto it and covered it in like a suede material which I sewed some stripes into so it broke up the colour a bit:

(Not the best pic in the world but you get the jist!)

Haha! Yeah I was going to order from him too, however lack of funds meant I did my own. Doing the seats in the same material as well, but they will no way look as good as his :D

Yeah I know the feeling! They do look pretty awesome though. You could try emailing (or rather pm'ing) emalee off here - she does seat covers and they really are excellent value - I think it's £80 for a full basic vinyl set but there's a thread somewhere! Haven't ordered from her myself but everybody who has likes them.

One step ahead of you :D already pm'd her but I want them in the same material as the door cards and she only does them in vinyl. I'll get a pic up of the bottom that I've done already, but I'm putting off doing the back purely because of the amount of literal blood, sweat and tears that went into the bottom bit!

Didn't want to hi-jack the thread anymore so I've started a new one with a shockingly bad photo of the bottom of the seat :D

Cheers Jimmy & h_edgrrr.

I still have to do the drivers door as I ran out of staples and B&Q don't have any the right size so I have to find some tomorrow. I will be doing the sub box and amp cover in the same material so will have pics up in my thread when they're done.
