its only sub and amp i need adivice on, il say around 300 quid my budget is

Personally i would say for that money to get a Rockford Fosgate amp and sub.

i would do but my mates gone through 3 rockford fosgate subs in 8 month! so its not left me with much to think about them

ok i would still say a rockford amp but try a JL audio sub

JL sub is 300 watts rms (dual 4ohm so can run at 2ohm), mono alpine amp is 350rms @ 2ohm. Job done.

that alpine amp is a darkhorse but so is the sub, will sound louder than what you think!

i had that amp before i got my rockford one and it was a decent bit of kit :)

More likely to be a badly designed enclosure, underpowering or a faulty amp, rockford is top quality gear and is only likely to fail if abused.
