I'm gonna buy this Clicky for my SPI.

I'd just like confirmation that it's the correct one for an SPI, ie hangers/cat back etc.

(I know, i know, 3" bore/power loss. 1.75/power gain etc. I don't care, they look and sound so sweet. ;) )

Looks fine to me!

That's not a 3" bore pipe from what I can tell, just the tip is 3". So you shouldn't have any power loss at all! I could be wrong though.

I'd imagine someone of the standing collective that are TMF guru's might say that the internal diameter needs to be the same size along its length (which includes the exits), to maintain exhaust gas velocity, and maximise performance.

But remember, it's your car no-one else's, so as you see fit ;) (excludes safety related things tho :-)

Indeed it is Dan, just the tip. ;) and thanks for the confirmation.

@Newdawn. I believe that's the case about power loss from a 3" tailpipe, but as you also state most wisely, it's my car. :teehee:

May you both get to heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead. :-

The play mini exhaust is 2" system with a 3" tail pipe, well infact its actualy 2.5" with a 1/4" rolled end making the overall diameter of the very and of the tail pipe 3". Its not strictly a 3" exhaust :withstupid:

I have a Playmini large bore side exit cat back system on my spi Mini, along with a Maniflow lcb and de-cat pipe. I have ran this system for 4yrs no problems, actually I think its great, love the sound, will soon be running this system on both my spi minis. Only thing I have to do is replace the cat for the MOT because i have chosen to use a de-cat pipe.

Just had a proper look at the link you put and if you get that system it will be from lcb back removing the cat totally, but you need to be able to put the cat back in for the MOT and with that system you wont be able to. What you want is http://www.minisport...MSLPM41-44.html which if I'm reading it correctly is the Playmini large bore side exit cat back system which is the one I have got, looks right from the photo but i would ring and check it is cat back. If you then want to remove the cat you can buy a cat removal pipe, which literally replaces the cat directly making it easy to put it back on for the MOT.

Ah yes, 'tis the wrong one. I'd meant to link to the cat back one. Well spotted.
