Hi Tom, as the dates go they are still not confirmed but they will be either of the last weekend in August or as always the first weekend in September.

Nope, well we didn't this year. We don't all necessarily take the same route though. People tend to travel in a number of small convoys.
If there are minis in your convoy then you'll probably be cruising at 60-70mph anyway

Don't worry, you know what its like, a little convoy gets together and everyone becomes a law abiding citizen......

Remember the quicker you get there, the quicker you pitch up, the quicker you pitch up the quicker you get to sit down and chill out! After pitching up in the dark last year I fancy a bit of light this year

Well when I had my Mini I wouldn't want to cruise across multiple countries at speed, poor thing would have shaken itself to pieces

Does anyone know the closing date that you have to sign up for the run by?

We'll be starting to take deposits within the next few days. We will set the closing dates for deposits when we announce costs, but I'd expect we will be accepting the last deposits by the end if March.

Judging by last year, we sold about 80% of the places within the first week, so it will be a case if getting deposits in as quickly as possible. It will be a first come = first served basis.

We are allocating 50 places for the run. We had 65 places last year (with a total of around 100 people) and it was a very busy run.

Sounds like a lot of fun guys i would like to come in my G40 daily/track car i have a satnav and CB radio and a couple of handheld recivers.

I would also like to bring a couple of other mates who drive 205mi16 and if we finnish the restore a mazda 323 1.6 turbo 4x4 rally 1986 both also track cars so some extra retro diversity if you dont mind?

to be honest mate, because of the new ruling in the sticky at the top of this page any non mini car before 1990 automatically qualifies for the run.

However I would prefer more cars like your choice than just ANY car before 1990? I mean just because a car is pre '90 doesn't mean its a retro car? It could be just old and crap and a general all round old crap car!!

I would prefer to run alongside your kinda cars there, retro diversity, bring it on
