where did you get the braided fuel pipe from?

Hi brad the bear

Cool glad that u found it, as of yet I have not fitted the pull cable to the internal kill switch, but I guess I will have to make some sort of bracket to support/hold the cable.

The fuel line is AN6 fuel line, once again from eBay.

Hey Lsantos78

I bought the fire extinguishers from Peterloyd rallying, but most places sell them as a kit with a hand held one. Just have a look on the Internet (jjc race & rally) and yes they are fia spec for what I need.

More updates soon

Cheers

Kevin

Hi mini 360

I just fitted mine over the top of the original steel bulkhead, I did not have any intention in removing it. You would be best to ask minisport, if it is suitable to replace the steel one or if it is only designed to cover it.

I think every mini should have one, it looks sh*t hot :) and the price is pretty good

Cheers

Kevin

Thanks for the quick reply! Shame Im saving for spending money for a trip to NY in March otherwise I would be nabbing it right now  The fact its new and very few folk have them appeals to me....

My intention is to cover mine too as its just been painted and the panel is still in place.

Hi Kevin,

Build looks good, you've had a fair amount of work to do on that! Funnily enough my shell was ex circuit use, funny how these things change around!

Hi guys

Well I got some more work completed on the rally car today, I finished fitting all of the pull cables for the cut off and the extingusher, I also test fitted an eBay AP racing clutch master cylinder, I just need to change the fitted ends from straight to 90" ends.

Posted Image

I finished off the plumbing of the fuel lines in the boot and mounted the fuel pump, oh and fitted the intercom (not much work involved in that one)

Posted Image

Posted Image

Decided to wrap my maniflow lcb, I thought it was going to be a right pain in the arse, since I did not have a vice to clamp the lcb in. But it turned out to be pretty easy to do.

Posted Image

Now need to pack up my callipers and send them away to get refurbed and I need to place an order for my digi-dash. Oh and I must make a start on plumbing my brake lines....question do I stick with cooper hose or go for braided? I'm thinking of sticking with cooper brake line as the cost seems massive for all of those braided brake ends!

More updates to follow

Cheers

Kvin

Hi kcchan

I'm glad you like, I tell you my new favourite tool has to be the rivnut:) makes fitting pclips a doodle, which reminds me I need to order some more button head Allen bolts and rivnut inserts.

Hopfully I will be bringing my engine back to my garage this week, so I can start a minor rebuild.

Need to get cracking now first event at the end of may!

Cheers

Kevin

My kind of project thread. Lovely wheels. Aiming to get 10x6 GB's for mine.

Keep up the good work!!

edit. and where did you get your rear fireguard carbon fibre from? Looks good, and never seen that done before. Are you cutting the metal out? Or is it purely aesthetic?
