Why not create a small database of insurance quotes for Minis?

I'm not talking exact figures here, but if we can gather info from a wide range of Mini owners, we could put together a big list of how much Mini insurance costs, depending on Engine size and the driver.

Bit complicated, but it could prove to be very helpful.

whats the point when a quick phone call will give you a quote

insurance varies so much person to person, car to car and area to area and we don't want someone spending £1000 modding their mini because TMF say they can get insurance for £200 only to find no one will touch them and it all has to be removed

there is a list of insurance companys people use on TMF st phone a few

I didn't want to get into the details. I was thinking more a rough guide based only on the Model of the Mini and age. Because when it boils down to it, those two factors have the biggest impact on the amount quoted. Forget how many years no claims, area and mods. Those things can be added later if you got the former up and running well.

but why spend ages looking on here for someone with the same mini as you, age and location when a quick phone call will give you a better answer ?

I wouldn't call them quick....And the comparison websites, although convenient, keep sending you emails of your quote, pestering...besides, many people don't like entering all their personal details, when they're just shopping for insurance.

This way mini owners will have a quick rough guide to insurance.
