I'am considering putting on some grille buttons on the mini to make oil changes a little easier and various other things, but is it me or are they kinda...
UGLY??
What is the general opinion and are there any pictures of these things that work?

I'm not that keen on them either, but the amount of times I've had my grill on and off in the last few months means I'd probably be happy if instead of buttons they were 12 inch wobbly rubber dildos sticking off the front.

Yer i thought this was going to be the general consensus of opinion, i was wondering if there are any pictures of them working or people who do actually like them.

i used to have them and altho they dont look great they make grill removal so much faster, i had my grill ends riveted onto the grill so it was all one piece

Agreed, ugly...

grill ends riveted onto the grill so it was all one piece

This and 4 riv nuts. 2 on top, 2 on the bottom. Invisible, strong & quick.

I see no point in having a grille removable in 5 seconds...
If I need to work with the grille off I take my time anyway.
A few seconds more don't hurt - do they?

I think my Grille has been riveted on, so im gonna have to get the drill out, probably replace them with some self-tappers.

Grille buttons..expensive, useless, horrible stuff, what the hell they're supposed to do? Just replace rivets with screws, so you can remove the grille whenever you want.

I love my grill buttons. I also attached the end pieces to the grill with rivets. The grill comes off in literally 20 seconds and considering how often you need to have the grill off I think it's a much neater arrangement than having to undo half a dozen self tappers.

almost bought some, in the end i put some cut off bolts all around the edge, and now just have an 8mm nut to undo around the edges of the grille if i ever need to remove it, stopped the rattle too!
