all injection engines already have the 70amp alternators, if you have problems with starting its not going to be a problem of the alternator, unless it is faulty or you are trying to start the engine with your sterio on full volume

All the SPIs i have seen have 45 amp... though the book says 55 amp...

MPIs have the 65amp unit...

Agreed, i've just had to change mine after the regulator blew and it started overloading/doing nothing.

Being an SPI i'd stick with the "book figure" and get the 55amp. Unless you need the extra power - then stick with Darkscamp's recommendation. :(

dave, does it just not start on the key or will it bump ok?
does the battery not hold charge over a long period even if its been charged overnight?

id try assess if its either having the charge drained when the cars off OR if the cars not chargins it when its running.... thats assuming it is an electrical problemo

Yeh probibly. I know the one on mine was a 70 amp. Perhaps the later 95 > cars have a 70amp? Purely speculation
